About Us
Trivioso creates values-based card games helping educators and parents build connections through faith and art.
Let me take you back to February 2024.
My husband and I were on a road trip with our five children, driving from St. Louis, Missouri, to rendezvous with my little brother, a Marine stationed in Myrtle Beach. We were somewhere in Tennessee, about to pull into a Buc-ee's, when suddenly, from the back seat, we heard what my husband likes to call a “beef stew waterfall” splashing onto the floor of the Suburban.
Our poor Robert had thrown up—all over himself, his car seat, and his iPad.
After getting everything (mostly) cleaned up and back on the road, the iPad was officially out of commission. Our 9- and 11-year-old daughters quickly started complaining, and honestly, I wasn’t in the best mood given the situation. There’s something about vomit that really puts a damper on a road trip.
In the middle of all this chaos, I felt a wave of parental guilt—you know, the kind that sneaks up on you at the least convenient moments.
I realized that, despite all my good intentions, I wasn’t doing enough to weave our faith and the deeper values we care about into our everyday family life. I thought about how much the girls loved their Brain Quest trivia cards, which covered subjects like math, history, and science. But what about the higher realities of life—our spirituality, our faith.
So right there, mid-road trip, my husband and I started asking them trivia-style questions about our Catholic faith and the Gospels.
And you know what?
It was a hit.
The bickering stopped.
The energy shifted.
The "puke-mobile" turned into a much more peaceful and even joyful experience.
Later that night, while everyone else slept, I found myself scrolling online looking for a faith-based trivia game we could use at home and on future trips.
But I could not find what I was looking for.
So right then and there, somewhere between Tennessee and the Carolinas, we started working on our first game.
And that’s how Trivioso was born—out of a messy, real-life moment, a desire to do better as a parent, and a hope to help families everywhere pass on what matters most.
